A Letter A Life: from scars to stories
A Letter A Life: from scars to stories. Welcome to the First Step. January 14, 2016. Today my grandfather turns 70. He has been alive for 70 years! He was born, he grew up, was married. He had children and they had children. For seventy years he alternated between succeeding. Doing the wrong thing. And the right thing. Personally, I have been alive less than a third of that time. Still, I have taken my turn at failure and success, wrong and right, sorrow and joy. And you. What would happen if you worked ...

Saoirse Victeoiria | a letter among words
A letter among words. Pinterest is oddly like the Sims. I have a pinterest now. It reminds me distinctly of playing the Sims. On the surface of it, it’s an odd comparison to make; if you’re familiar with both, the differences are far more stark than the similarities. Perhaps it is only that it fills a similiar need in me; I can’t swear it’s the same for everyone. But it is. April 22, 2015. Order muppets, chaos muppets and finding your inner Pepper Potts. If you’re never heard of. To put it another way: I...

A Letter at a Time
A Letter at a Time. Asymp; 1 Comment. It has been a very long time since I posted anything. Lots has changed. Mostly my second draft is well and truly shaping up into something. Something, that is going to need more editing. But that is for later – like a few months from today later. So if multiple points of view confuse and irritate me when I am reading – why on earth am I writing in multiple points of view? I keep telling myself that the journal entries are to help set up the second book. Yes, I re...

A Letter A Week 2010
A Letter A Week 2010. A challenge to create letters every week. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Last post for 2010. Here, at last is my second alphabet assembled as a final piece. I had fun deciding which book structure I would use, but settled on a double-accordion so it would stand up by itself. Also had lots of fun choosing colour backgrounds for each letter! I wanted the colour element to be 'over the top'! Now to move on to 2011 - looking forward to the challenge. Saturday, January 15, 2011. As the work ...

a letter a week 2011
A letter a week 2011. A challenge to create letters every week. Saturday, August 18, 2012. Je demande à nouveau à Fiona de bien vouloir accepter mes excuses pour mon "retard". si cela s'appelle encore ainsi, de même qu'à tous les participants. Je me suis laissée dépasser par les évènements. I ask again Fiona kindly accept my apology for my "late" . if it is still called so, as well as all the participants . I let myself be overtaken by events . Mais je voulais finir. But I wanted to finish . It bubbled a...

A Letter a Week 2012
Going Dotty alphabets finished. A letter a week 2013. Monday, January 7, 2013. It looks like an accordion book, but it's actually a jacob's ladder. I got the pattern from a book on making books. When it was all done, I realised that I should have stuck the letters on sideways instead . But it was all too late! If you hold the book one way,the letters are inside the ribbons and in order. If you shake it, the letters move around. It's fun! Sunday, January 6, 2013. Little bit of blue. Friday, January 4, 2013.
