And Yet He Loves Me . . . My Dear Wormwood…. December 24, 2009. This post is mainly about a show I saw last night, though. My Edgren grandparents are visiting this week, and through an odd concatenation of events, we found out about The Screwtape Letters. Twas a cold and snowy day. And Yet He Loves Me . . . Tim, An Update on the Life of. January 14, 2010. Rather briefly, here are the things which have been happening since Christmas. My sister and I have been invited to the scholarship weekend at JBU, the 31st through the 1st of February, which we shall be attending. I look forward to it with interest. I am also working on a couple other college honors and scholarship applications. It seems the college preparations will never end, until, conveniently, I go to college. A Year of Life.

The Unthinkable Thought | A Small Thing
https://timocrat.wordpress.com/2010/01/15/the-unthinkable-thought
And Yet He Loves Me . . . January 15, 2010. This is the first in what I hope to make a series on 1 Corinthians. I was inspired by a fellow student of the Word to embark upon this journey of thought, and I plan to squeeze some more truth out of what Paul wrote to those in Corinth, “with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”. I’ll start with only the first nine verses. From → Philosophy. Larr; Tim, An Update on the Life of. God Knows →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A Year of Life.

God Knows | A Small Thing
https://timocrat.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/god-knows
And Yet He Loves Me . . . July 3, 2010. Tonight’s atmosphere for me being what it is, I felt I should put down a thought that came up in my worship of God through reading His Word. I was reading Psalm 139, as suggested by this song. And the thing that really impacted me was the amazing way God is described. He understands what I’m thinking, and for me, this is big. The Sweetbriar Patch: December 2009

Sweetbriar was chosen in honor of our life in and relationship with Christ which make living sweet, but also acknowledges the briars inherent in a sin-filled world (Micah 7:4a). Patch is a nod to the CiRCE Institute, Wendell Berry, the Southern Agrarians, the Inklings, and Frodo Baggins and the Shire, and refers to rootedness, covenant community, and our own little patch of ground. How hard would Drew haggle? Gary's response: 'Merry Christmas! Load it up and take it home! Yes, he gave it to us! After roa...

The Christian’s Questions | A Small Thing
https://timocrat.wordpress.com/2010/07/06/the-christians-questions
And Yet He Loves Me . . . The Christian’s Questions. July 6, 2010. How can I, an unholy and unclean man, stand before the Creator of all? How can He bear to look at me? How can I bear His gaze? How can I not fall down before Him, in awful recognition of my own littleness, my own impossibility? For I am impossible, and yet He has made me possible through His grace. How can He? What right does He have to take me out of my own sin? Why does He remake men, who turn against Him by choice and habit? How can I ...

How to Live | A Small Thing
https://timocrat.wordpress.com/2011/09/01/how-to-live
And Yet He Loves Me . . . September 1, 2011. I recently read an article by Danielle Sallade, entitled Human Flourishing. I write this assuming my readers have read it. As a freshman, I approached college like anything else: a challenge, a monument to some part of the world yet unconquered. So I did what any aspiring adventurer would do, I packed my bag with all the tools which had served me well thus far and headed alone into the jungle in search of greatness. With no clothes. Oh God, whose wisdom is so ...
