Friday, October 19, 2012. Considering it Joy-Fall Flu Fiasco. October is here. ahhh Fall.except it brings with it those days of quarantining your home so you don't spread the snot, coughs and gross germs to other families. School started almost 2 months ago and I thought for sure we'd be sick by now. and "by now" arrived Wednesday. Taking notes for future visits! Then started the unraveling of a perfectly manageable sick child scenario. 9:20 pm Arrive home and Zach leaves for CVS to get the Tamiflu.

We hopped on a plane and took a whopping 30 minute flight to Kauai. :) We got there before check-in time so we went to have lunch at Duke's. Needless to say, we've been living life. We are still in Hawaii! He headed back to Afghanistan on his birthday. July rolled around and we celebrated our TENTH anniversary on opposite sides of the world. What an adventure these 10 years has been! I'm looking forward to the next 60! Makayla started the 2nd grade and turned 7!

We decided to play tourists for once this past weekend and we headed down to Ko'Olina to the Paradise Cove luau. We had a great time! We were greeted with leis and mai tais (even a kiddie one for Makayla). Elijah wasn't thrilled with having a bird on his shoulder but Makayla loved holding the 'baby' bird. We traded in our shorts and flip flops for jackets and sweaters when we went to Alabama. It was a short trip but we had a great time with my side of the family. Makayla and Elijah LOVED playing with their cousin, Benjamin! Our first night. the kids camped out in the living room. Elijah, Makayla and Benjamin having our Christmas dinner on the 19th. Blain is on the Big Island for training for a couple of weeks, so I took the kids down to Waikiki yesterday to go to the Aquarium. Making cookies for Santa with Nana. The family at church on Christmas Eve. The kids loved going on golf cart rides with Dewpop. We met up with my friend, Kim, and her family for lunch. Her children will rise up and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28. Saturday, November 7, 2009. Pumpkin Patch, Zoo, Halloween. We had a Pumpkin Patch date with Kristin, Sammy, Elise, Angie and Haley. Why I didn't take any with all the kids is beyond me. While Sammy was on her fall break, we went to the zoo. For Halloween, we had Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. Aunt Pam's house was our first stop. Elijah really liked trick or treating! We definitely missed Daddy trick or treating with us! We miss him like crazy!
