Caitlyn Crites Illustration: December 2010
http://caitlyncrites.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Some doodles I did a while back for a project. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. This is still sort of work in progress, but hey. I could always use feedback and I have a month long break coming up to make it look better/get better at making things look cohesive in Photosop. It's supposed to be an accident waiting to happen - I chose 4Loko and the internet, aka the mother of all bad combinations. Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kourtney Stone: BAMF II
http://kourtneystone.blogspot.com/2012/06/bamf-ii.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. In my previous life as a MICA undergrad, all the ceramic majors graduating in 2010 put together an exhibition of our work up until the fall of our senior year, and we titled it "BAMF." The show was a ton of fun, and it truly showcased the diverse range of ceramic artists MICA fostered, in no small part to department chair and senior thesis advisor David East. I shared about that exhibition earlier on this blog and you can read that post here. Doilies, lace, porcelain, shadow boxes.

Kourtney Stone: November 2009
http://kourtneystone.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 10, 2009. It's been a busy time of year, but I'm happy to be posting once more because I've got another piece in a show. Remember my previous post "Expecting the Expecting"? I pushed it through the kilns and finished it in time to enter it in MICA's Juried Undergraduate Exhibition. She was selected and currently is on display through November 15th. Here's hopin' the rest of my applications turn out so well. Here are some slides of the same figure. They show the surface much better.

Kourtney Stone: Waxing Poetic
http://kourtneystone.blogspot.com/2012/06/waxing-poetic.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. I've been doing a lot of experimenting lately. It's been playful! What an enlightening, refreshing thing to be. I can't encourage you enough to be playful again too! I clearly have a long way to go, but I'm seeing some of the potentials of wax painting. And I think my recent watercolor lessons will help to inform these paintings. In fact I have a stack of clay slabs just waiting to be experimented upon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, December 14, 2011. The issue as I see it. Dear All Political Candidates, Lobbying Groups, and Anyone else who has an opinion,. PS Stop idolizing the soldiers and veterans who fought and continue to fight as you say "so bravely for our freedom" if all you're going to do is write laws that limit our freedom, yes, that freedom, the one you are worshipping them for fighting to protect.
