A journal of my internship in Palmer, AK! June 12, 2011. Sir, step out of the vehicle 6.11.11. I found out today I will be going to Seward, AK next weekend! A friend from Anchorage invited me to join a trip headed south. We will be staying in a tiny little hostel and going on a 9hr boat tour. A journal of my internship in Palmer, AK! June 22, 2011. Seward and the solstice. 6.22.11. A week since I have written! This past weekend I got a chance to travel out of the valley! A few friends and I made the 3 hour drive down to Seward, Alaska (while spotting 17 eagles on the way! Chunk of glacier falls! We were all sitting around watching little pieces of this glacier fall off and then it all went so quickly! This barge lies beneath the place where fishermen filet the fish. Sea otters are quite large!

The spit is a land feature that juts out 4.5 miles out into the ocean. I just read that it is the longest road in the world that extends into ocean waters! Just another WordPress.com site. Zemgale and a hint of spring. They said that a couple hundred years ago people used to believe chocolate would bring about good health (I still do). Then we got to visit the museum about the history of the palace and saw some stone coffins in the basement. It would be odd to go to school somewhere with dead people in the basement, wouldn’t ya think? Our next stop placed us at the Tērvete brewery! The weather better cooperate! When I was at Jurmala last weekend, I saw this man and another man take a dip in the water. He went about stretching like this for about 20 minutes before getting in the water!
