Sunday, September 1, 2013. 4th grade - a new school year. I made it through my first year of teaching! And I did it with the hardest class in the school (according to all the other teachers and secretaries), and a broken foot! I'm awesome. Not really, but I do have a lot of perseverance. I'm hoping this year will be much easier after surviving the challenges of last year. I'm looking forward to a great new year. My one new school year resolution is NO BROKEN BONES! Monday, December 19, 2011. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Santa Lucia Day -2011. Another Santa Lucia Day has come and gone. I really like that we celebrate this tradition. Of course, we don't follow it exactly as they do in Sweden, but it has become a nice way for us to take treats to friends and neighbors. It is celebrated not only in Sweden and Norway, but also Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Finland, Hungary, Malta, Bosnia, Bavaria, Croatia, Slovakia, and St. Lucia, West Indies. Happy Santa Lucia Day!
