a bit of nan: Pretty things at Cambridge
http://abitofnan.blogspot.com/2011/05/pretty-things-at-cambridge.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Pretty things at Cambridge. We all took an hour train to Cambridge University today and spent the day there. Fabulous? Yes, why yes it was. Did I feel smarter and more sophisticated while on its campus? We were told it was called the Bridge of Sighs because people on death. Row were lead over it back in the day to die on the other side, and based on the. View from the bridge, they would breath their last sigh. Sad, eh? The view inside the bridge. Breathtaking? a bit of nan: June 2015
http://abitofnan.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. I filled up a bunch of water balloons the other day for a church activity- and both Ella and I loved it. She liked to chew on them until they popped in her face (? And there is something weirdly cool and fun about popping the balloons on the sidewalk. The Mouritsens are going on the annual Park City trip. This upcoming Sunday-Wednesday. Its always fun, and I'm looking forward to it. We'll go to the hotel pool, hang out and play cards, and I want to go down the Alpine. A Cup of Jo.

a bit of nan: March 2015
http://abitofnan.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. Per Brent's request, we went to the Spring BYU Football Scrimmage Friday night. Brent gets to see all the players, see them warming up and testing out their stuff. He even went early to get the players autographs! You know, to give to his 10-year-old nephew (who's obsessed with sports, naturally, as a Mouritsen). I liked it. What I liked was the spring weather and the warm evening light on those peaks! Also, my parents came to visit last week. We had such a good time. A Cup of Jo.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Soup, Crying Tip, and Ella. Photo from thehousewifeintrainingfiles.com. I found this healthy version of Cheddar Broccoli soup. And it is delightful. I was pretty worried about using almond milk at first. but its delicious regardless, and it cuts down the calories quite a bit to use it instead of regular milk. I also used reduced fat cheddar cheese- still delicious. On to 9 month old Ella. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). THE BLOGS I LOVE. A Cup of Jo. Whitney Ryan's New Blog.

a bit of nan: July 2015
http://abitofnan.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. I visited my good friend Caroline a few weekends ago in Atlanta- it was an excellent girls trip (sans baby responsibilities! Caroline knows all the good places to eat in the city because she always has to wine and dine her clients for her job (in corporate furniture sales). It always makes me think of the tv show Mad Men- always taking clients out to eat. But the restaurant was so loud! It was a beautiful weekend. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). THE BLOGS I LOVE. a bit of nan: A little Vacation
http://abitofnan.blogspot.com/2012/06/little-vacation.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. Brent and I went on a little weekend vacation (but who am I kidding, this whole summer feels like a vacation with no school) to Park City, UT, a rather well-to-do town known for its ski slopes and classy hotels in the winter (and where the celebrities stay during the Sundance Film Festival. so I hear). I mean. look at these houses. Brent and I did sleep in a couch pull out bed in the hotel (which was surprisingly comfortable! With his parents sleeping in the one connecting room, an...
