the Wonderful Cross

Sunday, August 01, 2010. Saying Goodbye to the Congregation at Crossroad Church in Nishinomiya. Is not easy. We went early to help setup for service, which by the way is at 2:30pm on Sunday afternoons. From what I hear, Japan churches have services in the afternoon rather than morning. We got there around 1pm and more than half was already setup. We helped to set out the chairs and Children:s Area and Franco helped with logistics, and sound (I think). the Wonderful Cross

http://alexandshari.blogspot.com/2006/09/so-things-have-been-quite-hectic-as.html

Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Things have been pretty busy here at home. It's been one year since my husband and I left for Bangkok, Thailand to go on our first missions trip. One year already. So fast. I don't know where all the time has gone. There are only 3 more months left in the year! It'll be cool to see on a church communication card that they heard of our church through this service project! Well, it's pretty late. Have a great nite. Posted by Shari-Girl @ 1:02 AM. I miss everyone at the church...

Friday, August 31, 2007. The Day After Camp. Boy did we sleep! Til 10:30 or so! Boy what a good rest! At camp I didn't sleep well. The first nite. I didn't sleep at all, surprisingly I had energy to last til late the next nite. But I was happy to be back in an actual room without mosquito punk and with air conditioning! So was Alex he slept very well. We met Franco and Shawna for lunch at ACTA. No Japanese hosts were with us, I was able to communicate with the waitress! Called me to tell me that Kazuki.

Loaded up their cars and picked us up at the church. There we drove for 1.5 hrs to Inagawa. Somewhere near the mountains. Fumi's. Grandfather owns the property, it's a Christian camp. Fumi. Was raised a Christian. Awesome story there. There's a huge rice field near the camp, that was pretty to see! About 10 minutes outside of Nishinomiya.

The Howe Family

Alex * Shana * Zachary * Sean * Makayla. Friday, July 10, 2009. I'm a Big Kid Now! I think Zach loves the beds more than the twins. I thought for a minute he might get upset when he realized that he wouldn't be sleeping with them, but he's such a good kid! For the most part, he loves it when Sean or Makayla get something cool and doesn't get upset that he's left in the cold. They love to sit up there and read or play with their toys. Sean getting the first feel of the new home. A Day in the Sun - 06/27/09.
