Lazy Pythonista: You Built a Metaclass for *what*?
http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2009/11/you-built-metaclass-for-what.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. You Built a Metaclass for *what*? Recently I had a bit of an interesting problem, I needed to define a way to represent a C API in Python. So, I figured the best way to represent that was one class in Python for each class in C , with a functions dictionary to track each of the methods on each class. Seems simple enough right, do something like this:. Size": Function(Integer, []),. Size": Function(Integer, []),. Append": Function(None, [String]). Size = Function(Integer, []).

Lazy Pythonista: April 2009

Thursday, April 16, 2009. Small administrative note, now that Github has it's own issue tracker users wishing to report issues with django-ajax-validation can now do so on Github, instead of the old Google Code page. Django-filter users can also report issues on its Github page, in place of the former system of "message or email me", which, though functional, wasn't very convenient. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lazy Pythonista: A month in review
http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2009/12/month-in-review.html
Tuesday, December 1, 2009. A month in review. December 1, 2009 at 3:57 AM. Ive really enjoyed reading your posts. That being said, I cant help but feel that posts like this are a complete cop out. If youre going to write a post a day for 30 days, please do that, rather than write the occasional post ABOUT how youre writing a post a day (we know that already) and believe me, it doesnt make for an interesting read. Sorry, rant over. December 2, 2009 at 7:24 AM. December 2, 2009 at 10:56 AM.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009. A few thoughts on education. Lately I've been thinking quite a lot about education, both my own and in general. I ended up writing quite a bit about it. You can find all my thoughts here. PDF warning). I stuck it in a PDF because I think it's a more canonical form. I'm interested in hearing any thoughts people have, both about what I wrote and about education. Tuesday, December 1, 2009. A month in review. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A few thoughts on education.

Lazy Pythonista: August 2009
http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. Django-filter 0.5 released! As for what the future holds several people have indicated their interest in the inclusion of django-filter in Django itself as a contrib package, and for usage in the Admin as a new implementation of the `list filter` option that is more flexible. Because of this my next work is probably going to be on implementing a custom `ModelAdmin` class that uses `FilterSets` for filtering. You can find the latest release on PyPi. Thu 07 May 2015. Optimize Python with Closures. This article is cross-posted. On my personal blog, late.am. Real Time Bidding, or RTB. Is a technique by which many internet ads delivered. When you visit a website using RTB. A request is sent to dozens or hundreds of “bidders” which have to quickly decide whether they want to show you an ad, and if so, how much they would like to pay. RTB. The obvious way to implement such a filter is to use a class to store the configuration, thus allowing multiple insta...
