On deciduous trees the leaves fall in the Autumn and then during the winter the trees become dormant. Then during Spring after the cold weather is over then the trees start to produce new leaves. Coniferous trees are often referred to as evergreens. Coniferous trees have needles instead of leaves and reproduce via cones. It is used for general woodwork, cupboards, shelves and roofs.
