Our garment is inspired by Bridget Tichenor’s piece Los encarcelados. Mimicing the bars, we wanted to use lots of tucks on the bodice and have an exlosion of them slashed at the shoulder. We want to integrate shiny prints and different textures along with volume. Taking inspiration from the boxy exterior, we want to incorporate pleats to add volume. May 3, 2012. May 2, 2012.

May 22, 2012. There’s an old Swedish saying that goes. Vill man va fin far man lida pin. Composition No. 10. His use of lines and forms is what will inspire my process in construction of shapes composed together. However, whereas his methods are a means to express utopian ideals, mine will focus on a dis-utopian aspect of beauty and the fact that the function of clothing has made its transition from aesthetic enhancement to lethal consequences, displaying the sarcastic notion between pain and beauty.

Fredag 28 mars 2014. Multitasking, flera dagar bloggning i ett inlägg. Jag får visst köra samma upplägg som mitt förra inlägg ;-) tiden går så fort så dagarna bara går ju? I början på veckan så hade Lacami sin invigning i deras nya lokaler! Vi var givetvis på plats för att mingla med alla kunder :-). Vi träffade väldigt många trevliga människor och fick en massa bokningar, så det var riktigt roligt :-). Såhär ser den nya butiken ut, så himla fint :-). Vi hamnade alla i sängen och mös tillslut innan läggis.
