For unit 9 our task was to take and edit four pictures for a Nature and Decay styled brochure, a Photo essay and a school brochure. With my Nature and Decay pictures I tried to interpret the Decay side and portray this in a interesting, spooky way.The images would be an exebition so the editing had to be subtle. My work is varied with the common thread of finding joy in the process of discovery. Whether it is an object, the environment, or the human figure, I’ll place upon the canvas a composite of an image and an experience - what I feel and what I see. I work with a variety of mediums - watercolor, oil, graphite, printmaking - whatever is most appropriate for the image. This keeps my hand fresh and challenged. There is an ambiguity in my work which allows for individual interpretation and connection.
