A blog about one dog's recovery from cruciate ligament repair. Eight weeks and counting. June 13, 2012. Alice is now eight weeks post-op. She is doing extraordinarily well, but we are still keeping a close eye on her physical limits. Alice is always keen to go and glad to get back. We have seen some evidence of stiffness afterwards, with her limping after her post-walk rest, but it eases off quickly. Needless to say, we are watching this closely. From → Peeps' posts. I only get to go on lead, but at least I can carry a log and go with my girls. Much better. They seem to be stressing though, because I get tired. And after I’ve been out, I rest, and then I get sore so I limp. She said I might need to go see the physicist again. Bring it on! I like her. She said I could go off lead after ten days. It’s more than that now and still nothing. Not even a sniff of a run. Hah.
