The Black Sheep Diaries: September 2004
http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Friday, September 17, 2004. Generally, I feel young. At 29, why wouldn’t I? But, I’ve recently been exhibiting one of the first signs of old age: observing the younger generations with a detached annoyance and befuddlement. Oh well, I’ll just have to sit back and wait for the sky to crack, because clearly Jesus is coming soon. Posted by Dennis Bourne @ 2:24 AM. Verse(s) of the Day(s). Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Do not let the prophets and divin...

The Black Sheep Diaries: November 2005
http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Monday, November 21, 2005. Just a little talk with Jesus. This afternoon, a young man walked into a mall in Tacoma, Washington with a rifle. He began randomly firing at shopper and employees. Then, he took a group of them hostage in a record store. The police eventually negotiated his surrender and the safe release of all of the hostages. In the end, six people had been injured, one critically. I don’t like you when you do that. But there’s so much pain. BUT THERE’S SO MUCH PAIN!

http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Tuesday, January 31, 2006. This week's writers' group yielded yet another exercise for your reading pleasure. Or maybe just for your reading, I don't want to be presumptuous. We had ten minutes to write a short story starting with the words "The first time I wore." I chose to write about a baseball cap. Batter up. Life From Under The Brim. Posted by Dennis Bourne @ 11:22 PM. Sunday, January 29, 2006. I mentioned the Alpha course in my last post. But it bears repeating. It...God h...

The Black Sheep Diaries: July 2005
http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Tuesday, July 19, 2005. Build-A-Bear and Human Creation. With me, I'm going somewhere, I promise. It is for that reason, that he calls us "wonderfully and fearfully made." Mainly, because he made us by hand. And, if we were made by a perfect God who never makes mistakes, how could we be anything but wonderfully and fearfully made. It is only apropos that I end this schmaltz-fest with a quote from a children’s book. Here it is:. Posted by Dennis Bourne @ 1:30 AM. I love to fly.

The Black Sheep Diaries. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Well, I think I woulda been alright, except for the banjo.". Whaddaya mean, ‘except for the banjo’? When the cops came in and searched the place, I’d already flushed the stuff and cleaned up. Poof. Gone without a trace. So, I figured I was home free. Just as they were about to leave, I was walking them to the door all smug-like. Then, one of ‘em stops and looks at the banjo hangin’ on the wall.". Why’d you have a banjo hangin’ on the wall? But, I gu...

The Black Sheep Diaries: June 2005
http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Monday, June 27, 2005. Christian Nation My A@#. For the record, I voted with the majority (66%) that display of the Commandments should. Be allowed. Twenty percent said it should. Be allowed and 14% said it should. So what difference does it make if they're sitting in front or inside of some courthouse that the majority of us will never visit. They've been written in the Bible for 2000 years. We don't visit them there, either. The question is "Who am I going to let stop me? There...

The Black Sheep Diaries: October 2005
http://bsdiaries.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
The Black Sheep Diaries. Saturday, October 22, 2005. Then How the Reindeer Loved Him.(Part Two). Generally, I follow politics the way I follow football. I choose a favorite team and become a die-hard fan right around the time of the Superbowl. Sure, it’s a little duplicitous, but how many other fans can say their favorite team plays in the Big Game every single year? If it’s any consolation, I always choose the underdog. Okay, so I knew that stuff was in there, but the part of the brain that protects you...
