Adventures of the Toronto Camera Club. Itinerary Update (July 11th). July 11, 2013. Note to all readers. We are now in West Tanzania, where the mass wildebeest herds should be, but we have hardly seen a single one. We found out (speaking to some pilots and other drivers) that the herd have already moved up to Northern Tanzania – six weeks ahead of schedule – and so WE HAVE CHANGED OUR ITINERARY. Adventures of the Toronto Camera Club. July 11, 2013. Lunch was a wonderful experience. We are FINALLY on the Serengeti, and what a view we had! We were welcomed by a few Agama lizards on our little climb up to the top of the outcrop. We eventually picked ourselves up and eagerly set off to see what the Serengeti had to offer. It’s hard to imagine these things would grow up to be voracious hunters, some of the most effective on the plains, that would kill or scavenge anything. Photo credit: Jeffrey Wu.

This morning’s game drive did not offer us much, and we were beginning to lose all hope for seeing the great herds of migrating wildebeests what we all came here to see.
