Opinion Inc.: May 2005

Friday, May 27, 2005. Well, it looks like both parties came to a deal that makes it possible for them to keep their unconstitutional method intact. Very unfortunate. Anyway, we're almost done here in Iraq. Hopefully within a few days we'll pull out of our new sector (yes we had it for less than a month) then head some where else until it's time to come home. Posted by BryanP @ 10:48 AM. Tuesday, May 24, 2005. I didn't have to go out on patrol today.yay! So it gives me more time to post. From what I remem...

Saturday, January 29, 2005. Well, I'm in the general area now. Not at my final destination which'll be Baghdad proper but close enough. The flight was decent, though I am afraid of flying.I know, I'm in the wrong business to have that as a phobia but it isn't a paralyzing one. I just get nervous. We stopped in Ireland for a refuel and I did pound about three Guniness which, as you can imagine, made the last half of the flight much easier to take. Posted by BryanP @ 8:44 AM. The Deep Freeze: November 2005
http://thedeepfreeze.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
An American male providing sense and perspective to the world in which he lives. Monday, November 28, 2005. Democrats Think You're Stupid. A few weeks ago, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), a distinguished Vietnam veteran turned congressman in the twilight of his career, held a press conference criticizing President Bush's handling of the war in Iraq. In his speech, Murtha suggested it was time for the United States to pull out of Iraq. And a star was instantly born. Posted by Mike at 1:08 PM. Tomorrow most of us...

An American male providing sense and perspective to the world in which he lives. Monday, October 24, 2005. Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you. Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you. Who's rapping at your door. Is standing in the clothes that you once wore. Strike another match, go start anew. And it's all over now, Baby Blue. Bob Dylan (It's All Over Now, Baby Blue). Has invited me to be a contributor at Vagabondia. Hey IB, how much does this gig pay? She lived a d...

The Deep Freeze: March 2005

An American male providing sense and perspective to the world in which he lives. Thursday, March 31, 2005. God Bless, Terri. What is to stop a teenage mother from refusing food and water from her unwanted child? People with multiple sclurosis cannot take care of themselves. I guess we should deny them food and water and "let them die". The consequences of this are scary. We'll see more and more cases like this in the years to come. I assure you that. Opinion Inc.: What's going on?
http://armymanblog.blogspot.com/2005/04/whats-going-on.html
Tuesday, April 05, 2005. A Sunni was chosen as the Speaker for the new Iraqi Transitional Government's Parlament. I suppose this puts to rest all their concerns that they will be left out of the process. The Sunni clerics have also asked that Iraqi's start joining the Army and Police to help protect Iraq. Also, Sunni insurgent leaders have started trying to end the conflict. So who's left to fight? From the looks of things around here (you can read about that in previous posts).no one. I'm not convinced ...

Friday, April 15, 2005. Okay, I meant to post this earlier in the week but I got caught up in work and forgot. But after eating dinner today I remembered. Last week I went to Camp Victory, which is part of a huge base consisting of other camps, the Baghdad Airport and some other stuff. While there I got to eat in their dining facility. It was awesome to say the least. Basically, while our chow hall is better than nothing.that's about all it's better than.nothing. Oh no, oh no they get mortared they say!

http://armymanblog.blogspot.com/2005/04/past-week.html
Monday, April 04, 2005. Has been a fun one. I finally got to watch that show. It was pretty good, I can see why it's the big hit on TV that it is. What they do is dedicate each show to different cells or groups they caught. Then they go over what each guy did.one makes bombs, one is the trigger man, one procures the stuff, ect. Otherwise we subsisted on MREs and water, which sucks but it's better than starving. The best was when we had to go visit with the IP commander and that guy knows how to feed ...
