John, Amy, Naomi, and Noah. Thursday, May 20, 2010. The Hair.the Dress! Aunt Becky got her wedding dress in Canton, so we have had to make a couple trips there to try on Naomi's dress. This is the first time, so it is a little big. Grandma has made some improvements to it since, and it looks a lot better. I learned two important rules tonight - 1) don't burn yourself on the hot glue gun and 2) measure before you start so you know what your making will fit (I think this should have been rule 1! Anyway, after replacing the doors and storm doors to my house I just knew I wanted to hang wreathes for the seasons on my front door - too bad there isn't much room and I didn't find that out till the project was over - sigh.

This is my only hydrangea tree that lived after I planted it this spring. I got a frantic call last night from a mother whos daughter was having her first birthday party today - and the cakes and frosting were made but not finished. SOooo this is how I spent my Friday night without kids -. Abbey Cadabey cake - vanilla cake covered in butter cream stars. The requester wanted the color to be yellow and there to be pink flowers scattered over it. Here is the end result -. Vintage purse cake - french vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream and fondant flowers. In this picture I would like to point out all the pretty flowers scattered over the board and also the rolo candy feet I added to the purse.
