VOID is an ongoing project that explores ideas of dissociation, alienation and a search for Self through the creation of daily mandalas. The work is heavily informed by Carl Jung's work in transpersonal psychology, ancient Eastern spirituality and quantum physics. VOID seeks to unite ideas from both science and spirituality to negotiate how the self functions within micro and macro realities.

In particular it seeks to depict the idea of creating your own, inner utopia through spiritual/psychological means and the isolation brought about through this process. Alison is an illustrator who grew up across three continents where she discovered the world's three best sandwiches: the bacon buttie, bánh mì, and ham and cheese. Her work is a exploration of personal folklore and growth with emphasis on the psychedelic experience and parallel realities. She is graduate from Emily Carr University of Art Design in Vancouver, Canada with a BFA in Illustration and is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
