YAY, I was invited to be a professional member with the Equine Photographers Network , and that means I have the option of entering my photographs into the professional division of the Equine Ideal Photo Competition. http://alissaalbert.blogspot.com/2013/08/tips-for-shooting-at-horse-shows.html
Wednesday, 28 August 2013. Tips for shooting at horse shows. I have been shooting horse shows for a few years now and these are a few things I have learned to do to get the best possible image. It is of course very important to know what the ideal horse stance is of any discipline and I recommend googling that to read more about it. In the meantime I can cover some of the basics such as composition and lighting! I set up for my shot keeping these things in mind: light, background and course. Here is a su...

Alissa Albert Photography: December 2012
http://alissaalbert.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 December 2012. Let's show off those awesome photos! Thought I would share a few ideas for displaying all those wonderful family photos, maybe taken by yours truly :). 1) How about framing and displaying? Here's a personalized Christmas ornament that is super easy to make and is also a great gift . I used 83mm balls and they are just right for displaying small photos. Get acetate paper from your local art supply or office supply store. Cut out a circle to the diameter of your glass ornament.

Thursday, 31 January 2013. She'll get a pony, without a doubt! I vividly remember the day that I first met Violet, sweet little baby girl, barely out of her mommy's tummy. It was her infant photo portrait session, Violet was sleeping, snuggled into a cozy blanket and new mom Nat was adapting to her new role with impressive ease! Violet seemed like quite the little equestrian and I bet dollars to donuts there is a pony in her future! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Alissa Albert Photography: The Business of Weddding Photography and the post-processing involved
http://alissaalbert.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-business-of-weddding-photography.html
Tuesday, 5 November 2013. The Business of Weddding Photography and the post-processing involved. So here is an example:. Krystle Joey - T-REX. LOL So I scoured google for a suitable HIGH RES stand-in (took me 20 minutes) and then added him to the photo. I had to edit him so he was BEHIND the wedding party, had the same depth of field ( in-focus parts vs blurry bits ) the same white balance and was to scale. This took me another 1.5 hours. So 2 hours for a single photo! 6 November 2013 at 14:34.
