So, with my frugal head well and truly back on, I did a quick pop into Lidl and scored some GF cereal and pasta. The flakes cost £1.49. According to mysupermarket.com they can be up £3.52 elsewhere. The spaghetti was £1.29. A late Sainsbury's visit to the autobank on Thursday night (see told you I was disorganised last week! Last night I whipped up a quick GF and dairy free chocolate cake. You know, the one where you hold everything in and shut the doors quickly. The one where everything falls out when you open it. The one that you keep meaning to sort out. The one where you don't actually know what's in all the boxes (definitely crafting stuff, I think! We call it the comedy cupboard cos it made OH laugh the first time he saw it. What do you call that.

Less stuff, less work, less expense equals more money, more time, more joy. Monday, 27 July 2015. I picked up a copy of this magazine as it looked like it had a few good recipes. I've had a quick glance and it looks promising. At £5.99 it was extravagant but hopefully it's worth it. I also treated myself to a tiramisu style dessert. It was nice but full of sugar. Might regret it later! Sunday, 26 July 2015. 7 chicken pieces (I didn't even defrost them). 3/4 cup of marmalade. 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar.

Less stuff, less work, less expense equals more money, more time, more joy. Saturday, 29 November 2014. Butternut squash and apple soup. This is one of our favourite winter soups. And really easy to make. Recipe here. If you want details (last recipe on that post). I sometimes add soy cream or coconut milk to take the heat out if I've been over zealous with the chilli flakes! I've currently got the above goodies roasting in the oven while a batch of Helen's Brilliant Bread. That's today's lunch sorted!
