Sunday, April 12, 2015. Off My Needles: Ombre Chevron Hat in Doubleknit. Just off the needles in time for some lovely warm weather here in Minnesota. This hat is thick and warm and sparkly (I wouldn't have it any other way). And I got to test out a lot of new to me techniques, such as decreasing in double-knit and a birdseye back with 3 colors. I thought I would put my knitting needles away for the season, but who am I kidding? Doubleknit Mitts are next. Ombre Chevron Hat pattern is available here. We to...

Little Bits Of Thread: Cambodia: Kampot

http://alittlebitofthread.blogspot.com/2015/02/cambodia-kampot.html

Friday, February 20, 2015. Our trip rounded out in the sleepy village of Kampot, famous for peppercorns, durian, Bokor Hill and a slight respite in weather. We took an evening boat ride up the river at sunset. As we scooted along, we say hundreds of fisherman navigating their long boats and out to sea for a night of work. On our last day, we rented a moto and joined the throng of "crazy drivers" We wound our way up Bokor Hill On the way we saw. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Little Bits Of Thread: Off my Loom: Doubleweave

http://alittlebitofthread.blogspot.com/2014/12/off-loom-doubleweave.html

Monday, December 29, 2014. Off my Loom: Doubleweave. After what seemed like ages, these beauties were unleashed from the front beam. After hemming, I threw them in the wash and they came out wrinkly and weathered. A little steam and they are thick and lush. I love the inverse coloration on the opposite side. And of course the angular, modular feel of the towels in general. It made choosing a side, very difficult. December 30, 2014 at 11:54 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I knew it would be hard to top, but my friends didn't let me down and I even got to celebrate with two of my favorite New Jerseyans and two of my favorite transplant Minnesotans. We were off to a Great Lake on the Door County Shores. We. Enjoyed buckets of mini champagne at Summertime. Successfully set up camp at Potawatami State Park. My name ...

Little Bits Of Thread: Cambodia: Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean

Friday, January 30, 2015. Cambodia: Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean. A couple of days found us venturing out into the country. The verdant rice paddies were a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the cities. From our tuk tuk we sat back and enjoyed the passing scenery of everyday life.
