I like historical fiction where the author builds a plausible plot from documented facts. It was neat to learn about Lewis Carroll's (potentially improper) relationship with a real life Alice that inspired the famous story. Thursday, August 9, 2012. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? I thought this book was pretty hilarious. I listened to it on my way to work - read by Mindy Kaling herself - and it was like having my BFF in the car making me laugh to distract me from all the traffic. It was fun to hear her perspective about things and learn a little about how she got started on The Office. Definitely worth picking up if you want a quick entertaining read. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. I'm glad I finally got to read this literary classic. I don't really know why I never read it growing up. I had no idea what to expect and the story was unusual - a little too sci fi for my taste. I'm sure it has lots of allegories and symbols, but I enjoyed reading it just for fun. Monday, December 23, 2013. Taylor's One Month Old. On November 27, 2013, Taylor turned one month old. I cannot believe how quickly time flew by! At her one month appointment, Taylor weighed 10 lb 12.5 oz and was in the 95th percentile, and she was 23.25 inches long and in the 95th percentile. In other words, we have a very healthy baby girl! We are so incredibly blessed to have Taylor in our lives! And hopefully I'll do better about posting the monthly updates closer to the actual dates.).
