Undeniably Gypsy: October 2009
http://gypsy-joe.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 26, 2009. I'm in Ukraine and I'm blogging about it! My little adventure started two weeks ago when I went on a quick little vacay with two of my favorite gals - my bestest friend Averi and a dear friend from school, Rachel. We had a ball and it went by too quickly, that's for sure! But here are a few pictures (I won't bore you with a ton since most of you probably read Averi's blog anyway and she posted some already). The London Eye, Big Ben, some scaffolding. Me and Buckingham Palace.

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Today though, I have a reason to blog. I mean, yeah, I could blog about how fall in Arizona is flipping. The days are still warm - Averi and I laid by the pool yesterday [yes, it's ok to be jealous] - but the nights are cool enough to wear a jacket and it. Like fall. could it get any better? Anyway, it goes as follows: There are 10 "habits" per day that you can do for a point each for a total of 30 days. However, if you. Eating two servings of fruits and two servings of vegetabl...

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Adventures in North Carolina. This was our very first Okoren Family Road Trip. I am not the biggest fan of long car rides, but I have always wanted to see the sights in North Carolina. Tyler just graduated with his Masters degree and had a month before work started, so we thought it was the perfect time to explore. The town of Asheville is very charming and of course our trip full of lots of pillow fights. On our way out of Asheville we stopped at Chimney Rock State Park and d...

Monday, July 15, 2013. Etta James said it best. It best, I guess: " At last. My love has come along. My lonely days are over and life is like a song. Oh yeah, at last! Ironically, the title of my last post (way back in May of 2011! Was "I'm in love." But of course, it wasn't about being in love with a human. Let's rewind back to October of 2011. If I was a faithful blogger, you would have found a post about me being laid off from the job I was so thrilled to return to. After Ukraine. But apparently l...

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Yes, this post. But also the not-so-extreme makeover (but makeover nonetheless) that I did on my bedroom. I finally graduated from my college-girl days and revamped my little portion of personal space. There's something about re-doing and color scheming and deep cleaning that makes one feel like a new woman. I finally let go of my twenties. It's one of the. If I could explain my room, as it was, in one run-on sentence it would go something like this:. IN BETWEEN. Setting up ...

Monday, May 9, 2011. I know, I know. I'm a total nerd. But I can't help it. I love to read. And since I have about four inches of space in my little house, I just don't have room for the mass of books I keep purchasing from Amazon.com (one of my top ten all time favorite things ever). And since I had some gift cards for Barnes and Noble (thank you, Mom! I decided to bite the bullet and get me a Nook. I'd only been coveting it for a year. Up Oh, that thing we call justification. tricky little thing! All I...

Monday, May 17, 2010. It's so hard to say goodbye. To your favorite pair of jeans. I know I said I had things to post about Ukraine, but when crap happens, you just have to be flexible. If there's one thing I've learned in life. I knew this day was approaching, but I never imagined being so. bummed. 'Cause what do I do now? I mean really, what does one do after their favorite pair of jeans rips down the seam of the crotch, reminiscent of a fat guy in a little coat? Need I say more? It was a good three ye...
