Making and Living: January 2015
http://makingandliving.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. It's been so long since I have posted anything here, I have been too busy with work, house building and family life. But, I have had some time here and there to sew. I have had a lot of fun recently making all sorts of things from dresses, skirts to a baby sleeping bag and hot-water-bottle covers (posts to follow). Here are the skirts I made. I used a really good free patten from StraightGrain. The fabric in the photo above is. The third skirt I made was for the girls cousin's ...

Making and Living: July 2013
http://makingandliving.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 12, 2013. So I abandoned the pattern and tried to work it out on my own. I got there in the end but it was not what I really wanted. The waistband was too big and the skirt kept falling down. I decided to take it apart and started again. This time I used big red elastic for the waistband and just sewed on the fabric. It was very easy and it looks really nice. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow Making and Living by Email. Visit Rowan's profile on Pinterest. Winter in a Yurt.

Making and Living: September 2013
http://makingandliving.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 16, 2013. It's that time of year again when there is an abundance of fruit, berries and vegetables. I have been very busy making jams and preserves with everything and anything I can find. We went berry picking in the forest the other day and came back with a kilo of blueberries and a kilo of blackberries. It is a joy to be able to go for a walk and come back with such delights. I made more blueberry jam, and I picked some raspberries to go with blackberries and made a very.

Colourfunky: I see you
http://colourfunky.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-see-you.html
This is the place I store new experiences and nonsense. I was reminded of an alien movie that I saw years ago. One particular clip has always stuck with me. It had to do with how these particular aliens greeted each other. Instead of 'hello' or 'how are you' sort-of-thing, they said : 'I see you'. So the first one would say 'I see you' and the second one would respond 'I see you'. Isn't that just profound! 21 October 2011 at 08:47. I see you Yolanda! 25 October 2011 at 13:37. I love to SEE YOU tomorrow,.

This is the place I store new experiences and nonsense. Sign from the universe. Go on then, just do it! Look at how this tree dances with gay abandon! Makes me feel like dancing! Man, I thought this was super. The whole idea of asking myself 'what makes me come alive' is so filled with possibility. And 'what the world needs is people who have come alive' - this is just so true. I guess I have to ask myself every day - Am I one of those people who have come alive? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
