It varies in appearance around the world – now lapping gently, now crashing wildly, now turquoise revealing life within, now dark hiding secrets of measureless depth. But it is there. If I stand in a desert thousands of kilometres from shore, the sea remains. In the same way God is. The world was a sphere when people believed it flat. The earth revolved around the sun when people believed the reverse to be true. God exists even if you don’t believe in Him.
