roger morris art: night city
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/04/night-city.html
Monday, April 8, 2013. In another blurred exterior abstract photo from last Monday at K's home, daylight and bits of garden glimpsed though an under-deck lattice take on the look of a city at night. Looking at this photo, it feels like Im on a high speed train through an urban landscape. Got my head out the window, somehow, with my hair whipping around. Adrenalin rushing. roger morris art: electric grid 2
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/04/electric-grid-2.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. The view through under-deck latticework is the subject of this deliberately blurred abstract photo. I think this is my favorite, but I like a lot of these. roger morris art: farm in early spring
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/05/farm-in-early-spring.html
Saturday, May 11, 2013. Farm in early spring. The plein air painters met at an old farm a couple months ago. This photo is from that visit. May 11, 2013 at 7:34 PM. I think the shadows made this picture. All I had to do was notice it. May 12, 2013 at 10:28 AM. Ah, but it was the noticing it that was the genius part! May 15, 2013 at 11:05 PM. I know this place, but your photo makes it into someplace entirely new and inviting. May 25, 2013 at 11:05 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Port Townsend, WA.

roger morris art: catkins
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/05/catkins.html
Sunday, May 12, 2013. The catkins make a nice counterpoint to the white trunks, the dark background, and the blue sky. This image is from a couple months ago, before everything started leafing out. roger morris art: levitation
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/06/levitation.html
Tuesday, June 4, 2013. This is another abstract photo from the garden in Gardiner. A slow shutter speed, combined with camera motion and lens zoom, turns ordinary scenes into abstractions. It usually takes me a lot of attempts to get an effective composition. In other news, my three abstract photos in the Northwind Arts Center juried show were all sold early in the evening of the First Saturday reception. I bet this will sell soon, too. I really love the composition and the colors. June 4, 2013 at 7:16 PM.

roger morris art: night city 2
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/04/night-city-2.html
Friday, April 12, 2013. Here is another latticework scene from K's place. This landscape abstract photograph was taken a week ago this last Monday. This photo is vibrating; demanding to be heard. It makes a sound of the rattling a loosening metal rooftop makes in a storm, then the metal twists to the side with the gusts. April 13, 2013 at 2:33 PM. Sounds like a sleepless night. roger morris art: pond garden
http://rogermorrisart.blogspot.com/2013/05/pond-garden.html
Thursday, May 16, 2013. Monday was another plein air painting morning. Despite the promise of rain, the sun came out and the rain held off until the afternoon. I started this painting in the garden on Monday but didn't quite finish it. Yesterday I had the chance to set up in the same spot and finish. Oil on canvas panel, 8"x10". Nicely done, Roger!
