There was a good number of duck broods at BW including 8 Gadwall in one brood. At Prestwick a couple of Redstart worked their way along the bumpy road hedges. Taken through to windscreen. Words on wildlife and the mad world we live in. Thursday, 18 September 2014. A bit of bully. At Prestwick carr the other evening a Whinchat some Bullfinch and a Dragon or two. Big waters yesterday THE Kingfisher and THE Otter. Note the baby slug! Friday, 5 September 2014. Just a few pics from the last month or so which include a couple of new species for me, Black darter and Black tailed skimmer. Both were local, the skimmer at the waters and the darter at banks pond. Apart from some local walks and a visit to Big waters, a walk round Bolam lake with my niece Ellie and her new bridge camera were my only outings. Words on wildlife and the mad world we live in. Thursday, 15 August 2013. Spent last Sunday at the fourth Ashes test, a good day for the English and South Africans (Trott etc). I was sitting with the Barmy army and the crack was good the rain held off, just. The stuff of dreams. All hail the pie. Bell and a Wagtail. Friday, 9 August 2013. Another morning at the waaters and 4 southern hawkers around the dipping pond included a female laying eggs. Also present a few emerald damselle's. Monday, 5 August 2013.
