Please & Thank You | Allan N' Japan
https://allanmcdaniel.wordpress.com/2011/06/03/please-thank-you
Allan N' Japan. Japan through a Spartan's Eyes. Please and Thank You. The Japanese are Super Polite. I have never been treated as well as I have than in Japan. On touchdown the customs and airlines employees were nice, and you know what kind of reputation those types of people have back here in the US, so starting there I knew this would be a pleasant trip! At McDonalds you’re treated as if you are the owner or Ronald himself! The police are kind and willing to help at all times and even to a foreigner.

Japanese Cuisine | Allan N' Japan
https://allanmcdaniel.wordpress.com/2011/06/03/japanese-cuisine
Allan N' Japan. Japan through a Spartan's Eyes. Sushi is everywhere (what a surprise right! And what East Lansing called sushi is far off from what they call sushi. This is real actual, just caught-out-of-the-water, not cooked at all, freshly slapped on your plate sushi; not that I’m complaining I’m just used to a typical California roll from Omi. Besides the sushi the dishes in general take a little getting used to if you’re not familiar with rice and noodles very often. What’s dinner without dessert?

Breakfast of Champions??? |
https://candicetakesjapan.wordpress.com/2011/06/10/breakfast-of-champions
Understood to never be understood! So…now that I have been staying with my sister, she has been making efforts to cook for me. Being that she lives on her own, I was hoping her cooking would be better than when I last remembered. Here’s a pic…I’ll let to let you guess how that is going. This is what she calls and “egg sandwich”…. 8230;she asked me if I liked it, my response: “Oh, I’m just not really an egg person”, lol. Fun, Fun, Fun! 5 Responses to “Breakfast of Champions? Tea Ceremony | Ben Fico
https://benfico.wordpress.com/2011/06/09/tea-ceremony
Study abroad in Japan. What a great way to end the Study Abroad! The traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony was a great experience. We also got cookies and a white bean sweet. They were both good and very sweet. The white bean one was really pretty! The ambiance definitely added a lot to the ceremony. The hallways were filled with rocks and there were stone statues and fountains everywhere. View from the window of the tea ceremony. Cooking your own food. Jun 12, 2011. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. JR and The Shinkansen | Ben Fico
https://benfico.wordpress.com/2011/05/22/jr-and-the-shinkansen
Study abroad in Japan. JR and The Shinkansen. The Shinkansen, or the bullet train is a pretty amazing way to get around Japan. It is owned by JR, who we visited on Friday. JR is Japan’s largest rail company who has expanded to related companies in the retail, restaurant and hotel businesses. It serves 16 million customers a day, out of 59 million Japanese. We visited the Research and Development center, which is in charge of creating and implementing new innovations to make JR better. Post was not sent -...
Japan Rail | Beaver in Japan

Technology Review →. June 12, 2011. A Japan Rail train connecting us to the rest of Japan. It was the Japan Rail that allowed us to travel from Tokyo to Osaka and then from Osaka to neighboring smaller cities including Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Nara. Even the ferry that took us to Miyajima was JR! Normally, all this traveling via the system would add up very quickly and cost a boat load of money. For foreigners only, however, there is a deal known as the JR Pass. A photo of my Japan Rail Pass. Build a websit...

NTT docomo | Ben Fico
https://benfico.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/ntt-docomo
Study abroad in Japan. We visited NTT docomo’s Research and Development Center. It was pretty far away and a shorter presentation, but it was very cool! We first watched a movie about Mama Gupta, and how she had friends all over the world but couldn’t visit them because of her physical condition. So all of her friends used futuristic mobile devices and got together and played a song for her over the wireless network. I thought it was a very cute and touching movie. And if not, why? Nekobukuro! | Ben Fico
https://benfico.wordpress.com/2011/06/07/nekobukuro
Study abroad in Japan. Today I went to Nekobukuro in Ikebukuro. It was called a “Cat House” and basically I paid 600 yen to hang out with some cats for about an hour. It was awesome. The cats were not incredibly friendly since they probably get people trying to pet them all the time. They wouldn’t come up to you or anything, but they would be willing to hang out if you put some effort in. Futurescope and Lucent Pictures. Jun 09, 2011. That’s pretty cool! Jun 11, 2011. Getting sick in Tokyo | Ben Fico
https://benfico.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/getting-sick-in-tokyo
Study abroad in Japan. Getting sick in Tokyo. It finally happened… I got sick! I’m usually pretty healthy, but then again, I’m usually not surrounded by tons of people in near constant rain. I tried to go to the store to get some medicine, but you know how American medicine is all written in English? Japanese medicine is all written in Japanese. Imagine this was all Japanese. Now it's a mystery box with pills on it. Technology Review – NTT docomo Ring. Jun 02, 2011. Jun 03, 2011. Jun 03, 2011. You are co...
