It's been cloudy lately. A lot. And when it isn't cloudy the humidity is so high you can practically drink the air. I thought I was going to miss the Moon/Venus/Mars conjunction on February 20, 2015, but the clouds parted just long enough for me to take a few shots. This one is my favorite. Halos like this are caused by tiny ice crystals in high clouds. The crystals act as prisms, bending the light at various angles to produce a circle of light around the Sun or Moon.
