Not only did the angled steel allow the piece to be viewed from different heights, but it also interacted with the lights in varying ways. Much like the natural landscapes vary continuously, the light striking the topographies also varied continuously either striking the landscapes directly, casting stark shadows on each piece or allowing soft light and soft shadows gently cover each piece.

Art walk san diego 2015. Walked down to Little Italy to check out this years art walk, and headed over to SDMCA to revisit the work of El Anatsui. The pieces are monumental which make me wonder what happens to them after an exhibition like this. How does anyone have this work in their home. Do they become public works? This, just finished and sent to be a part of Intelligent Clashing. S 'Dream Shop'; in turn, a part of ROLU. S epic residency at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. In Rhiannon's words, it's the shop she "dreams of opening", behaving as a "snap-shot of a current community of artists/makers/designers who operate and communicate online". It looks like she is bringing her unimpeachable curatorial eye to the 'stock', in the way she has gently specified or selected palette and material mix. Via We Find Wildness.
