Cashio Oikos: Has Heaven Rejoiced Over You?
http://cashiooikos.blogspot.com/2009/03/has-heaven-rejoiced-over-you.html
Monday, March 9, 2009. Has Heaven Rejoiced Over You? Today we studied the three parables in Luke 15. These are the parables of the lost sheep, coin, and son. In all of the parables, Jesus is conveying the importance of the one lost. "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7 Has heaven rejoiced over you? I love answering that question! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Welcome to the Verrett Oikos: Who Do You Love
http://verrettoikos.blogspot.com/2009/09/who-do-you-love.html
Welcome to the Verrett Oikos. Saturday, September 5, 2009. Who Do You Love. Hear what God is showing one of our teenagers:. If you have ever heard John Bevere's "Draw Near" sermon, you know he can preach some really good stuff. He talks about: appetite for the Lord, praying, and a lot of other things. But the thing that captures me the most is the part about: When your body is hungry, it will basically scream," I'M HUNGRY! Some more verses about youthful lust:. God created you to be like him, so, why was...

The Byrns Oikos: Living in Darkness vs. Light
http://byrnsoikos.blogspot.com/2010/01/living-in-darkness-vs-light.html
Sunday, January 10, 2010. Living in Darkness vs. Light. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),. 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. The light produces good fruit (v.9). Whatever is exposed to ...

Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Everywhere I seem to read lately brings me back to Obedience. Sunday before last, we discussed with everyone Luke 17 and just following along from the Parables we have been reading and continuing on in Luke. See below excerpt. 7"Suppose one of you had a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Would he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, 'Come along now and sit down to eat'? 9 Would he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?

http://hilloikos.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Church with the Vedros house church. Monday, February 23, 2009. Here is the dialog between Jesus and the boy’s father:. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. To think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in. Of the thing believed. To credit, have confidence. In a moral or religious reference.

The Hill Oikos Blog: He ain't heavy....
http://hilloikos.blogspot.com/2009/05/he-aint-heavy.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. It has been a while since I have posted anything, but the house church is still going well. The hustle and bustle of daily life has captured my time lately. This Sunday was a good time of communion with my brothers and sisters. The scripture passage I keep coming back to lately is Hebrews 12:14-15:. Paul’s encouragement to the early church in verse 14 was “strive” to live in peace with everyone. The word strive is defined in the dictionary as follows:. Am I sure that my brothers and...
