Thursday, July 23, 2015. Butterfly Blouse and Bubble Shorts. One of the best things about having this little sewing blog has been making a real-life sewing friend in my town, Erin. Sunday, May 24, 2015. Natty Jane Baby Shoes. I've always thought the little yellow Natty Janes that Delia has on the cover of her pattern. Were the cutest things ever. I have had my eye out for some leather or pleather to up cycle into some for Lottie, and finally came across some bags at the Crozet thrift store that were just dying to be upcycled. I used scraps of wool felt from my Christmas stocking projects for the lining. And a quick sew, too! May 25, 2015 at 1:45 AM. May 25, 2015 at 1:09 PM. Project...

http://www.crozette.com/2015/05/fairy-tale-dress-and-matching-bow-tie.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Fairy Tale Dress and Matching Bow Tie. As I mentioned before. The "big kids" were also dressed in Palos Verdes voile for Easter. I made Louisa an Oliver S Fairy Tale Dress. The skirt lining is Michael Miller Cotton Couture in Spa Aqua (I used some white lawn I had for the bodice lining). And I used some shiny pink tulle leftover from this fairy dress. I cut a size 6 bodice, and cut the skirt to a size 7 length and size 10 width for extra fullness. In NYC with Liesl herself). I was s...

Wednesday, June 3, 2015. I've been hoarding this Heather Ross Briar Rose knit for a while, with baby things in mind (like this. The matching headband I made with Megan Nielsen's free baby bow headband pattern, available here. Edelweiss ...

crozette: Wiksten Tank (Spring Top Sewalong)
http://www.crozette.com/2012/04/wiksten-tank-spring-top-sewalong.html
Sunday, April 1, 2012. Wiksten Tank (Spring Top Sewalong). Like so many others, I jumped on the Wiksten patterns. When they recently became available as PDFs. The patterns get great reviews and I was not disappointed by the Tank. I used Anna Maria Horner Little Folks Voile in Diamond Mine Sky, and the same in Coloring Garden Dusk for the trim. The pattern calls for the bias trim to be hidden but I folded it narrowly to show off the contrasting fabric. I bought the voile last summer from Fabricworm.com.

Also in "Dogwood Floral" linen-blend by April Johnston for Jo-Ann. It is fully lined with a solid peach silky rayon-blend from the same line. (Both are sold out now, sadly.) Coincidentally, both the fabric and the pattern are "Project Runway" lines. The button closure is a nice touch, too. Happy much-belated Father's Day! Im working on this...
