The Table Flipper: February 2009
http://tableflipper.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Because sometimes you just want to flip the table over and storm out . Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Just for the Cheap Celebrity of It! Anyway, I am just concerned that we'll soon be seeing Diet Coke spots with Real Housewives and that shrill Jeff from Flipping Out, doing such over the fact that someone brought him a Diet Pepsi (or God forbid, Jonathan from Blowout, crying his eyes out and seeing his therapist over his love of Diet Coke . Yikes). Do you see my concern here? The Pet Shop Choice. The story ...

Sober and Malignant: January 2007
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Tuesday, January 09, 2007. Not as simple as an oil change. As you may recall, the eager-beaver docs at my current practice had me rigged with a porta-cath while I was under for one of my biopsies. This was done partly for efficiency, since I was under the knife anyway, and partly on the assumption that I'd be starting treatment soon enough. An anticoagulant, to keep it from clotting up. Links to this post. We ex...

Sober and Malignant: October 2006
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Monday, October 23, 2006. Dropping the cancer bomb. And nothing makes people more uncomfortable than having an afflicted person in their midst. Damn, that sucks. That totally sucks. How are you holding up? Yeah, my brother-in-law had that same type of cancer. He died. But I’m sure that won’t happen to you. *. Countless Chicken Soup for the Soul. Over and over.). Anyway, to all the folks we may have discomforted ...

Sober and Malignant: August 2006
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Thursday, August 31, 2006. A note on my visit with Dr. B. Posted by wonderkiller at 9:57 PM. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Dan met with Dr. B, the surgeon who removed the original malignant lymph node, yesterday to discuss the necessary additional lump-hacking and portacath installation. It was basically just another meeting. The hospital will follow up with Dan to schedule the surgery. A visit...

Sober and Malignant: November 2006
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Tuesday, November 14, 2006. On my desk, I have a small scrap of paper with what is most likely a bastardized version of a quote attributed to Plato:. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. Another observation, the originator of which I've forgotten: People treat relationships like basketballs, when they're really like soap bubbles. Posted by Bailey, yo at 8:38 PM. Links to this post. I was sen...

Sober and Malignant: February 2007
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Monday, February 05, 2007. As if it weren’t completely obvious from our do-nothing cancer blog, you’ve probably figured out that we’ve decided to do nothing to treat Dan’s cancer, at least for the time being. Let me back up here a moment: everyone knows that Dan has non-Hodgkins stage 1 indolent lymphoma, hereafter known as nHS1IL. And this sucks, but not in the usual cancer-sucks way, right? Which is good no on...

Sober and Malignant: September 2006
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Friday, September 29, 2006. The sound of crickets chirping. No news yet. I did get in touch with Dr. T. He had not yet heard about my wayward lymph node (and on hearing about it his first response was "I told. You you were an interesting case." He could have said it with a little less zest, but I hate to take the fun out of a fellas job.). Posted by wonderkiller at 9:09 AM. Links to this post. Well, it was malig...

Sober and Malignant: July 2007
http://soberandmalignant.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Since Dan has seemingly forgotten that he has 1) cancer and 2) a cancer blog, it falls to me to give y’all the latest update:. Zilch Nada. No movement on the perimeter, no zips in the wire. Dr G continues to echo our own sentiments that treatment at this stage is unnecessary and overly invasive. He did the usual exam of outwardly accessible lymph nodes (read: the groin clutch, the und...

Sober and Malignant: April 2007

Sober and Malignant is our cancer blog. We're really pissed that we had to get a cancer blog. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Image swiped from Twisty Faster. My favorite spinster aunt with cancer. It's the receipt from her latest cancer med. For a one-month supply. It's not covered by her insurance. You know what kills me? The "ACCEPTED" text on the receipt. I don't think many people would be surprised to know that line would read "DECLINED" if Dan had to buy the same med for his cancer. Links to this post.
