Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Becoming Narwhal Gardens: A yard update part 1. We have been doing a ton of work in our yard since my last post. Way back in August. So be prepared this will be a long one because a lot has happened! This is what the yard looked like back in September. On the same day the concrete work happened, Max and his dad cut down the big light post behind the second pad because it was going to be in the way. This is the back side of the chicken coop. Friday, August 23, 2013. Crock Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup. I made the yummiest and simplest soup this week. I modified this recipe. And it turned out so good! Crock Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup. Adapted from Baked by Rachel. 4 Frozen Chicken Breasts. 5 Cups Chicken Broth. 1/2 cup Chopped Celery. 1/2 cup Chopped Carrots. 1 15oz Can Chopped Tomatoes. 15 teaspoons Chili Powder. 2 cloves of garlic, crushed. My hands always hold onto the garlic smell for DAYS. This tool helps to prevent that. I use it almost daily. These are another daily essential. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Becoming Narwhal Gardens: A yard update part 2. If you havent see the progress of our yard yet, start first with this post. After a few very busy month with little work done in the yard, work began big time the week after Christmas. It was one of the coldest weeks of the year (for us San Diegians) but Max had taken time off of work so he and Aston bundled up to get things done! This is what the backyard looked like as of Christmas. Soon to be location of the garden boxes.
