That year, for my Christmas present from my dad, I got 3 Nambe serving dishes (because those don't break) and a Waterford platter to replace my shattered candy dish. And this year, we put the buffet table in the back of the dining room and just worked around it. The new windows in the whole front of the house make a huge difference to me in the look of it. Before they were trimmed out in black. The neutral helps disguise some of the oddity of the shapes. And yes, Daniel WILL be trimming that ginormous bush soon. Looking in from the front door. It's functioning exactly as I hoped it would.

I buy New York Strip steaks because they have some marbling in them and it's nice to have a little fat in there when you want to cook at home.
