Last week we discussed the idea of reading Scripture in search of its “redemptive intent”. Dallas Willard indirectly promotes this notion in. We read the Sermon on the Mount with the goal of gaining a kingdom heart. The kingdom heart exists beyond the mere words on the page or their mere literal application. Am I supposed to read Gen 1-11 literally?
