It was really fun watching them have a good time. I will say that David Cormier has a LOT of energy. It seemed he was running nonstop, not just this afternoon but this morning when we were trying to do the red couch photos, he wanted to keep running! Saturday, September 11, 2010. 5 years ago we met our daughter for the first time. She has a wonderful heart and we love her soooo much. I am glad Gotcha Day happened on Sept 11 because now when I hear that date, my first thought is of the day we met Alicia. No, I haven't forgotten about the day when the towers fell, never will. Gotcha Day for me 'brightened' Sept 11. On the bus to get our daughters. Our first sight of Alicia. And here she is today. Happy Gotcha Day to your sweet Xinyu girl!

The Difficulty of Doing Less. It seems like it should be easy to do less, but I find it to be pretty hard. It’s so much easier for me to throw out an old pair of shoes or give away a shirt, but to declutter my commitments? That’s not quick and easy. Some of the things I need to do are unavoidable, so my solution is to get them done in the quickest, most effective way possible. Productivity and simplicity often overlap, although they’re not the same. What would happen if we simplified our commitments?

The body was covered in Jade because they believed that the jade would prevent the body from decaying (it didn't work). Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was a little fussy at first, but that was expected and understood! He quickly quieted down however and was happy with me just holding him. He was awake most of the afternoon and even ate some applesauce and pudding. I slept with him in his big boy hospital bed in the 24hour observation unit. No, not much sleep but it could have been worse. The next morning he was all smiles and ate some eggs, pancakes and yogurt! November 8, on the way to school. PJ being served his papers.

I didn't get much sleep the night before so I was tired and was trying to sleep, but wasn't successful even if it looks otherwise. It was a first for us to be in Hong Kong and it seemed strange to be on the left side of the road and the driver on the right side of the vehicle.
