Sneakin A Peek Into Our Lives. Thursday, August 15, 2013. We had a birthday boy the beginning of this month, who at the last minute requested a helicopter cake instead of a fire engine. Easy enough! Here is the method we used to make a helicopter cake. Super easy! Most of it I did the night before. Plunk the helicopter on the frame and Ta Da! Somehow my little man went from this. He Shall Direct Our Path. Monday, December 29, 2014. Please don't walk at night, we have lots of cougars, coyotes and bears around here! Huh No more night walking for us, I guess. The next day we walked to the main road and made it to the beach. We still had to skirt around many lakes and rivers along the way. The Washington coast is considered a highway- you can see all the tire tracks in the sand. Wet sand is perfect for sand castle building! No trips to the ocean with buckets to wet the sand down.

Sneakin A Peek Into Our Lives. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. One weekend in the spring, cousin Michael came for a visit and we went on a little jaunt to some nearby sightseeing spots. The Grand Coulee Dam and Visitor Center. They do a laser light show on the dam after dark which the kids have enjoyed before. We didn't stay that long this time and spent most of the time learning about what it took to get the dam built. Trying out the divers suit. Had a fun playground as well as a lovely little beach to swim at.

Summer has been a whirlwind of busy fun that has left us reeling.and it isn't quite over yet. :) There is much catching up to do concerning our trips to MN, Iowa Conf., IL, ID and the Oregon coast. I'm still wondering why we chose to do the most traveling the summer we have a new baby? But I'm thankful that things went better than I would have dreamed. :D. The Bigger Boy turned 5! That grin is rewarding. :D. I think there's a bunny in there somewhere.

She also got glasses in December, much to her great excitement. She is only required to wear them for school and generally doesn't wear them around the house, in spite of her initial excitement. :).
