The Minutes of a Dory Build. Neu Woodworks meets the whitewater dory. Fixing the Boat 3. 1/2 Inch lettering with a layer of clear coat over it. I'm hoping it will hold up for at least one season. It will be easy to reapply and 3 sheets of stickers only costs .99 cents. Same thing here. The letters are tucked up under the gunwale, but they are there if you're lookin'. The oar stops are epoxied and just need a quick sand to get them gliding in the oarlock. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Minutes of a Dory Build. Neu Woodworks meets the whitewater dory. From our wharehouse/shed/den in Valdez, we set off in our friend Jeff's truck enroute to McCarthy, AK. About 2/3 of the way through the trip we pass over the Kuskalana River which we would eventually see again as it emptied into the Chitna River just downstream of our last night's camp. By the time Gail and the clients arrived we were close to being done with the gear transfer and rode back to the airport to set up camp. Meanwhile the ...

The Minutes of a Dory Build. Neu Woodworks meets the whitewater dory. Driftwood Drift Boat Timelapse. Links to this post. Driftwood Dory Construction: Hull Assembly. The hull came together just like the plans said they would. Things pretty much lined up without adjustments needing to be made. "That 'll do.". The cross-boards helped to keep the frames flush with the bottom chine. My rafting strap kit came in handy for holding things together while the frames were fastened to the hull with ring nails.
