My view of the world around me. So who am I? Lough Owel blank on the kayak. Cabin fever has set in over the last few weeks with the weather being so bad. Quick check on WindGuru. Last night gave calm conditions for today on Lough Owel so nothing for it but load up the kayak and get ready for an early start. Calm on Lough Owel. Shady spot for lunch. Yellow Steeple Sunset | All Seeing Me

My view of the world around me. So who am I? The Yellow Steeple is one of Trim’s famous landmarks. Perched high on the hill the Yellow Steeple reaches out to catch the sun as it sets for the evening. Jeez, that’s very poetic even if I say so myself. To be fair though, the photo worked out well enough and credit must go to the good lady wife Lorraine. It was her who spotted this was about to happen and she dragged me running across Porchfield to get into position. The Yellow Steeple catches the sun.

Thoughts on Photography and Technology. July 15, 2010. Most months I enter the photography competition over at midwest photo exchange. I generally have a root around the hard disk for something that will fit the competition theme. This month was no different…. The theme of the competition was ‘Sunny Days Are Here Again’, aha! I thought, I have a natural contender in ‘The Days Go On Forever’ a picture of a beech tree I took somewhere in either Tipperary or Offaly, I’m not sure! The Days Go On Forever.
