Saturday, June 29, 2013. This project, and also this year, are at the halfway point! I've missed a couple of weeks (last week included), but this project has been the best. I spend the end of every week looking at all the lovely images other moms all over the world have captured of their young ones. and they all make me smile. Well, I don't think anyone will be getting Christmas cards from us this December, due in large part to the fact that I still have not sent them. ;) I really love to send cards, though. I love addressing the envelope, sticking the stamps and physically dropping them into a post box. Maybe I'll send them out with some valentines in February, but in the mean time. And Paddy and Daddy. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. A Particularly Prehistoric Party. Turning five is an exciting thing. I've always considered five to be a bright line marker between baby and big kid, so I guess my sweet girl has made the leap to big kid. No turning back from here! In the months leading up the big day, Claudia settled on a "pink and dinosaur" themed party. I made the cake at about 2 am the morning of the party. Friday, April 26, 2013. I Know You're Awake. Paddy can easily climb up on the furniture now. With ample ease, he can also scale sleeping adults and adults pretending to sleep, as pictured here. Upon finding Daddyboy in a restful moment last weekend, Paddy squeezed himself on the chair with his sleepy friend and proceeded to cuddle away, as if to say "I know you're awake, big guy.". This little guy is the only one who can get Russell to put off a nap. Hope you find time to cuddle with someone you love!

Tuesday, March 4, 2014. A Party for Paddy. We celebrated with a special little party. I made cupcakes the day before the party. He wasn't in the mood for napping that day, so he helped me get everything ready in the kitchen. He wanted to make sure everyone's cupcake was just right. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Dye, Hunt, Eat. Bop was excited to dye eggs this year. Funny though, she wouldn't call it "dyeing eggs" because it sounded like we were going to "kill" the eggs. We called it "coloring eggs" instead. Bop: "Why are we using that [vinegar]? It smells like toots! Toot smell aside, she was pleased with the final product. We still have snow melting and freezing rain pelting us, so we opted for an indoor hunt. Claudia's so fast! Good grief, look at that face! Sweet moment with my boy.
