Monday, July 21, 2008. Home from the beach. It was a grueling 15 hour trip through seven states to get home yesterday, but it was worth it to see Elly again and come home to a house only slightly cat-vomit stained, thanks to the valiant efforts of Sara, the Best-Cat-Sitter-in-the-World. No knitting was accomplished on the trip though. I seriously don't know where the knitting went. I signed up for the Ravelympics. Though and my goal is to complete Honeycomb. I haven't even swatched yet though. Humph.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. I finished my mittne s but now cannot wear them for 12 days due to hti s ginourmous bandae and brace thihgn on m my right hand. it hurts already but i have visodin. I wish i could start my secon tangled yoke sleeve but it may be a few days before knitting can resumme. i thikn i can kjit with the bandage but i will have to wait for the pain to sbside. Several months ago, I read somewhere (I wish I remembered where) that when one prefaces a statement of opinion with a qualifying statement meant to dissuade the listener from developing a poor view of the speaker in light of the opinion about to be uttered, it actually has the opposite effect. That didn't make sense, so I'll just explain it by example. If you say, "I don't mean to sound like a snob, but really? You shop at JCPenney? Any other plausible examples?

Sunday, March 23, 2008. A Well Dressed Bear. My nephew Ethan requested a sweater for his teddy bear, so I spent yesterday afternoon and evening watching Season 1 of. That I had Olivia helping me cut fat quarter bundles for the shop. She loved the fabric as much as I did and immediately wanted a quilt made, so I decided to make one for her 4th birthday.
