FUNdamentals: Felt Angry Birds Set
http://vanblerkhomeschooldiary.blogspot.com/2012/04/felt-angry-birds-set.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Felt Angry Birds Set. Stage 2. (Andy proudly showing his Angry Birds set). Stage 4. Setting up after destruction. Andy creates really great stages. He took his set to his Granny's house one day but with 5 little boy cousins hurling the bird at the pigs the birds nose started coming off so Mommy needs to perform a bit of needle surgery soon and then the games can continue. Stage 5. :). October 14, 2012 at 10:41 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

FUNdamentals: Day 13: Truth in the Tinsel Advent Experience
http://vanblerkhomeschooldiary.blogspot.com/2011/12/day-13-truth-in-tinsel-advent.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Day 13: Truth in the Tinsel Advent Experience. Day 13 was Bethlehem so the kids made the cutest little houses out of egg cartons. This craft was extra exciting because it was one that Jane could join in on. They painted their houses and made little black dots for the windows with black paint. Andy and Jane's finished ornaments. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Christmas presents for Andy's cousins. For the cousins' Christmas presents this year we are making DIY Bird Feeder Kits! I came across the idea of making bird feeders out of pine cones a while back but then there's the issue of peanut butter smearing everywhere so how do you store it to gift! So I came up with the idea of making up a kit so each cousin can make his/her own feeder. :). So if you're still looking for gift ideas here's what I did. Fill each bag with a pine cone...

To get the housework and washing up to date and the kids playing and happy in order to sit down to blog is no joke. As I type I have Jane breastfeeding and a little hand trying to contribute some text to my blog post :). To fold your playmat up, simply pull on the cord and tie a bow. This is really nice and compact and you can even store...

THOUGHTS OF TODAY....: ...to enjoy the beginnings
http://todayiwanted.blogspot.com/2015/06/to-enjoy-beginnings.html
Wednesday, June 3, 2015. To enjoy the beginnings. Of the end-of-the-year madness. One of the benefits that I have had working part-time this year is that I can swap my work days to do special activities with the kids. Today I had the opportunity to go on a walking tour of Ann Arbor fields with Will's class. We walked 7.5 miles. All over the city. The Farmer's Market via. Our chaos through Nickel's Arcade. A photo from the beginning of a wonderful science presentation. Next was a soccer scrimmage. To plan...

THOUGHTS OF TODAY....: ...to watch them play
http://todayiwanted.blogspot.com/2015/05/to-watch-them-play.html
Saturday, May 30, 2015. To watch them play. Soccer, soccer, soccer, and baseball. Our weekend was full of activities and it was the first time in a long time that I had to try to juggle the madness on my own. Here in AA, much like in our former Army communities, neighbors and friends are always willing to pitch in. Audrey attended her game with her friend Clara and then was invited to stay for a playdate until I returned from the other two girls' games. Isabella enjoyed playing for the Strikers. We were ...

THOUGHTS OF TODAY....: ...to enjoy the zoo
http://todayiwanted.blogspot.com/2015/07/to-enjoy-zoo.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. To enjoy the zoo. With my little ladies. I have had big plans for our summer. Museums, zoos, and parks.oh my. While our days have been busy we haven't even begun to touch my summer bucket list. The big kids have been occupied with band camp, and cyber-safety camp, and I have been busy schlepping them back and forth to these activities. But today, today ended up being a 'free' day. So the little girls and I decided to have a date. I imagined a leisurely stroll through the gates.
