Always the Big Girl. Monday, August 31, 2009. So I went ahead and joined a CSA last week. A CSA you ask? Yes, Community Supported Agriculture. Basically, it’s a food subscription. You pay a local farmer up front by the quarter or year and in return you are given a box of produce each week. I split my membership with a friend since I knew my family of three wouldn’t be able to eat a whole box each week. I picked up our first box last Thursday and look at what we got. 1 bag of green beans. 1 bag of spinach.

I think that puts me about a month late, which is actually pretty good for me. I’ve never been one for deadlines (or patterns! And speaking of, of course I couldn’t manage to follow the set pattern… it was just a matter of time before I veered off course. I liked the way it looked with just the 9 patches on the front, so I decided to use the remaining squares for the back instead.
