Don’t give me a spoon! Mission: Travel with zero-plastic-consumption. May 2, 2012. I decided I needed to try traveling without consuming plastic. Here I am on the plane to LAX having not ‘consumed’ any plastic yet. What do I mean by “consumed”? For toothpaste so far we’ve been settling for a natural toothpaste that comes in a metal tube with a plastic cap. It has fluoride, which is important to me (but I’m willing to be convinced otherwise) because…how shall I say it….our kids have a butt-load of cavities.
