Monday, April 1, 2013. Easter Greetings and a Catch Up. Hoping you have all had a wonderful Easter, I know I have. I have been totally spoilt with this divine chocolate egg from very special friends. I am savouring it , it is far too nice to devour just yet I am enjoying the continual temptation). As usual we have spent Easter at our holiday Humpy and we have had some wonderful times shared with friends. Aren't these just the best times, sharing and making memories with people you enjoy being with. In my...

Linen and Raspberry: January 2011
http://linenandraspberry.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 16, 2011. An Oldie but a Goodie" as Janet says. Always has a way with words and when she described working on one of her older W'sIP. As an oldie but goodie. I realised it was exactly what I was doing, sounds much better than a WIP. I am not sure if you remember this oldie, I began it many years ago and only got the centre pieced and the border blocks that were also hand pieced done. I have read many blogs explaining needleturn. I also read on Alma's. Applique was to do needleturn. In my ...

Linen and Raspberry: It's Been Sometime
http://linenandraspberry.blogspot.com/2013/07/its-been-sometime.html
Thursday, July 18, 2013. So I am constantly reminded. Quite a lot of water has passed under the bridge since my last post on April 1 this year. I think I will just post the pictures and let the pictures tell the story with a little intervention from me here and there. First up was a trip to Melbourne to stay with my dear friend Miss Broderie. Wonderful Show and Tell. I tell you these Melbourne girls are prolific, gorgeousness everywhere you looked. A wonderful day of sharing friendships. We look forward ...

Finished Quilts {my early years}. Monday, 29 June 2015. Ah- a pile of finished quilts! And if you make quilts, you and I both know it's inevitable that you will end up with lots of scrappy bits, some favourite pieces, some pre-modern stash, some maybe not so pretty. But all of it can be used. yes? Fast forward to now, and what to do with those leftover scrappy bits and pieces? Well, after some thought, I decided on a couple of plans! First up, I wanted to sew an 'all-one-collection' scrappy quilt! The pe...

Linen and Raspberry: November 2014
http://linenandraspberry.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. Has it really been that long. I realised it had been a while but really has it been THAT long since I wrote a post. Time , he really is a thief. I guess a lot has happened since my last post and really I'm not sure where I should begin so probably I just draw a line in the sand and start afresh from here. If any of you are Instagram users and are interested in following me my user name is @misslinen. I'm auditioning borders for my quilt, I think this is the winner. With Needl...

Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Where Does the Time Go? We have just had a long weekend here in Australia, this weekend celebrates the Queens birthday. It has been an extremely wet weekend but I have not been perturbed one little bit as I have spent a good deal of it sewing with a clear conscious as I could not do anything outside. I have finally finished the centre of my basket quilt (hexagon rosettes and stars) it is time to start constructing the borders appliquing baskets filled with flowers and leaves.
