The Fitz Happenings: September 2010
http://fitzhappenings.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. We flew up to Chicago in mid-September to enjoy a fun-filled fall weekend in the Windy City. I missed our previous 2 trips to Chicago over the summer so it was a great chance to get up there and visit with some good friends. Unfortunately, we only got to stay for 2 days so hopefully next time will be a longer trip and we'll be able to see everyone missed! The big event of the weekend was Friday night - Dave Matthews Band playing at Wrigley Field! And the weather was perfect!

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Little Fitz's Baby Shower. I received all the pictures from the baby shower yesterday. My mom is usually the family photographer but I wanted her to just sit back and enjoy the party and not have to worry about capturing all the special moments. I think that worked out really well, and Mandy Whitley did a fabulous job with the photography. Here are some of my favorites:. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. BIG THANKS TO MIKE and JAN! My first Mother's Day was very special. Mike gave me so...

I found them on Etsy. There were mostly modern styles but I found the sweetest curly tree and animals. So easy, even I didn't mess this up! We hung the letters of Baby F's name on this wall, but it's still a secret until he's born! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Favorite Room in the House.

This sweet little chest will be used for the changing table. I added a little bird decal to tie into the big wall decoration. Mr. Gator's home is actually in the bathroom now (sorry Mike! We hung the letters of Baby F's name on this wall, but it's still a secret until he's born! June 17, 2011 at 6:59 PM. The voices...

The Fitz Happenings: October 2010
http://fitzhappenings.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 11, 2010. We took a trip to San Diego way back in June. Our camera was M.I.A. for several weeks (maybe months? So I just now uploaded all of our pictures. Before this past summer, I had never been to California and Mike hadn't been in a really long time. I signed up for a Human Resources convention (as exciting as it sounds! Of course, we had to visit the San Diego Zoo! In Pacific Beach and an even better dinner at Cowboy Star. We weren't the only tourists who stopped at Torrey Pines for ...

The Fitz Happenings: February 2010

Friday, February 26, 2010. Happy 2-Week Birthday, Max! My nephew turns 2 weeks old today! He is eating, breathing and growing very well - we can already tell he is going to be a strong boy. Mike got to meet him last weekend. He had never been in a NICU. Before so he was wide-eyed and had to ask a thousand questions. It was very cute. John did a very good job of explaining everything, even using all these big medical terms he has become very familiar with these last couple weeks. This month Mike and I had...

The Fitz Happenings: August 2010
http://fitzhappenings.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. It has taken me several weeks to write these words. My grandfather, Howard Hartwell, lost his short battle with cancer in the early morning of July 4th with my. On to travels -. Mike has been traveling a bunch to San Antonio for his job. The big benefit of all this back and forth (for him) is that he earned A-List status on Southwest Airlines (think shorter security lines, earlier boarding) and he will soon earn a Companion Pass (for me! The setting is beautiful. We are already ...

The Fitz Happenings: December 2009
http://fitzhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 14, 2009. It's good to be home. Most importantly, we are starting to adjust to both of us working from home. Mike started working with a real estate firm called Iconic Development. Based in Evanston, IL. They are allowing him to work remotely since he will be covering the southeast region of the states looking for investments and managing existing projects. He is very excited to be working with this group, and I have a feeling he is about to get really busy over the next few weeks. Matth...

The Fitz Happenings: Last Trip!
http://fitzhappenings.blogspot.com/2011/04/last-trip.html
Tuesday, April 19, 2011. No more long-distance landlords for us (besides the fact that our association won't let us rent it out again.). No pictures from our visit, unfortunately. Mike and I managed to make it to 11:30 Saturday night after having been up since 4:15am. We met up with our friends Brooke and Brian at Union. The naps in the car and at the hotel helped me make it that long I'm sure. Then we grabbed brunch with them on Sunday before heading to the airport. I had Mike stop at Buckingham Fountai...

The Fitz Happenings: January 2010

Thursday, January 21, 2010. Can't Help But Love 'Em. We were certain Elsie would have some sort of anxiety attack while we were out running errands after our move-in day in December, and we made it almost a month without that happening. But look at this face! You can't help but love her! Mike eventually forgave Elsie, after some time apart, and he even let her break a rule (probably with a little coaching from me) and let her nap on the coach for awhile. Of course, our sweet Tucker never gets in any trou...
