Mersey Forest Nature Walk {2011}. Saturday, February 18, 2012. On a camping trip late last year Mr S and I indulged ourselves in our own Nature Walk. A family member was convinced something had blown out their window when they crossed the bridge into the reserve. So Mr S and I went back to the bridge to look and then hiked around and snapped photos while we were there. The water was rushing quite loudly and we even spotted a platypus, but he was too quick for us to snap a photo. Fine Feathers and Things.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011. We make a morning trip up to the bay, which is just minutes from our house, to drop my husband off at the local ferry. While doing so this morning I spotted 5 dolphins out in the bay and I quickly pointed them out to the boys. We jumped out of the car and ran up along the path that runs along side the ocean so we could watch them playing. This means I had a lot of questions flying across at me this morning. For instance, "Do dolphins eat grass? Do you think they are headed to China?

Sunday, September 4, 2011. It's Spring, It's Spring. Oh I just can't wait. To find fruits in the vases. And flowers on my plate. I want to hear the warm sun. And feel the robin singing. Watch the scent of the flowers. And smell the butterflies flying. It's spring, it's spring. I'm so full of glee. For the people will bloom. And the flowers will be happy. The grey fields shall be covered. With the magic of the meadow. And the brown sky shall be painted. With the blossoms of the rainbow. How can I be blue?

Saturday, August 20, 2011. I was all geared up to start using Remarkable Rain when my youngest started asking all sorts of questions about Volcanoes. I've decided to run with his curiosity for now and explore volcanoes. I had planned on studying rocks at some point this year, so Volcanoes will make an interesting jumping point for this topic.
