It began in Africa. We've recently been to a couple of conferences that in some way (large or small) we helped bring to fruition. They were very different experiences. The first was a VSO conference that the volunteers designed, facilitated and 'workshopped'. Set in an 'almost' complete mid-range hotel in Nakuru, a small group of plucky volunteers where given two weeks to help organise this conference from scratch. As a guest speaker. You could think of it as a volunteer version of a TED Conference.

I dropped my internet connection to save a few bucks and picked up the WordPress app, let’s hope for success… Oh, and the photos are gonna suck, my apologies! I seriously make these brownies once a week. I wish I was kidding but it’s an addiction. I replaced the butter with canola oil to add some healthy fat and used dark chocolate cocoa powder because it’s awesome. 1/2 c all purpose flour.
