Chronicles of our Hobby farm. Worm Bin (new design). February 13, 2014. Part of the theme of this blog, and of our farm, is that it is a voyage of discovery. For me that, definitely means creativity. I love the notion of using the Mileu of a hobby farm to learn, grow, and, oh yes, to tinker. One of the most ingenious ideas I have found to date is the “inverted” worm bin. Fresh compost. After you harvest all you can, you clamp the bottom back on, turn the bin right side up and continue to dump scraps.
